Kim Hyun Joong dan Park Jungmin dengan aktivitas solo
Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong, Kim HyungJun berpikiran untuk membuat 3 member group

Dengan berakhirnya kontrak SS501 dengan DSP, menimbulkan banyak pertanyaan mengenai masa depan SS501 apalagi dengan berpindahnya Kim Hyun Joong, sang leader, ke agensi lain.

Pada awal Juni, Kim Hyun Joong menandatangani kontrak dengan manajemen milik Bae Yong Joon, KeyEast. Juga diketahui bahwa Park Jungmin juga menandatangani kontrak dengan manajemen lain. Ada kesempatan untuk Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong dan Kim HyungJun untuk membuat group sendiri bernama 'SS301' seperti yang mereka lakukan di tahun 2008 (sebagai sub-grup)

Menurut asosiasi dari SS501, Jungmin sangat tertarik untuk akting, dan mencari manajemen yang bisa menanganinya dengan baik. Bagaimana pun, dalam rangka untuk memiliki aktivitas sebagai grup (sebagai SS501) dibandingkan solo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong dan Kim HyungJun sedang mencari manajemen baru.

Dikenal sebagai SS301, Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong dan Kim HyungJun, merupakan target dari manajemen musik ternama. Biarpun mereka sudah menerima proposal dari beberapa manajemen yang menjanjikan biaya yang besar, mereka masih mencari manajemen yang dapat mereka percaya. teman dekat dari salah satu member mengatakan, "Biarpun uang merupakan faktor yang penting dalam menandatangani kontrak, mereka mencari manajemen yang besar yang dapat mereka percayai sepenuhnya"

Jika member SS501 berada di manajemen yang berbeda-beda, akan sulit bagi mereka untuk melakukan aktivitas bersama sebagai SS501. Biarpun begitu, karena kedekatan di antara mereka, mereka masih ingin melanjutkan SS501. Sepertinya mereka tidak akan bubar. Terutama SS501 sangat populer di taiwan, ada kemungkinan bagi mereka untuk kembali bersama-sama lagi dan melakukan promosi di luar negeri.

Sementara, nasib SS501 ke depannya seperti '1+1+3' seperti idol grup H.O.T yang saat mereka bubar, mendapat banyak sekali perhatian. HOT bubar di tahun 2001, Moon Heejun dan Kangta menjadi penyanyi solo. sementara Jang WooHyuk, Tony An, dan Lee Jae Won membentuk group baru bernama jtL.

"Penglihatanku sudah tidak baik sejak kecil...
Aku hanya berharap untuk pengobatan yang bisa membuat penglihatanku lebih baik.
Sampai operasi Lasik muncul dengan sendirinya di dunia ini...
Sejujurnya, aku tidak dapat memilih untuk menjalani operasi singkat karena aku merasa khawatir.

Setelah berdiskusi dengan Wonjang-nim, aku mendapat kepercayaan dan ketakutanku mulai hilang sedikit demi sedikit, saat operasi itu langsung dimulai.
Tidak peduli apapun, kami melakukan operasi di mata.. Siapapun bisa merasa takut..
Tapi jika kau pikir, sebuah operasi bukan apa-apa tanpa rasa takut
Dan opeasi itu selesai.. Saat itu mataku rasanya menyegat, and aku merasa terganggu tapi tidak lama kemudian, sudah kembali normal.
Saat itu, perasaan yang orang-orang rasakan setelah operasi dapat aku rasakan juga.. aku mulai merasakan hal yang sama.
Juga, siapapun yang memiliki penglihatan yang kurang baik.. aku yakin mereka juga mau tidur saat menonton televisi
Aku memang memiliki keinginan seperti itu... dan sekarang aku sudah menjalani Lasik, keinginan itu menjadi kenyataan...
Sekarang sudah melewati Minggu dan menjadi membingungkan bagiku -- rasanya dimulai seperti seseorang yang memiliki penglihatan yang bagus.. Sekarang aku dapat melihat dengan jelas.

Kim Hyun Joong telah menandatangani kontrak dengan KeyEast. Selama ini 4 member lainnya sedang menikmati istirahat mereka dan menentukan masa depan mereka.

Kontrak SS501 dengan DSP Media sudah habis mulai dari awal bulan ini (juni). DSP sudah mengumumkan melalui official press release pada tanggal 29 juni "Leader Kim Hyun Joong sudah memutuskan untuk menandatangani kontrak dengan Key East. Bagaimana pun 4 member lainnya belum mendapat keputusan.”
